Nepal Earthquake, Sindhupalchowk (Huffington Post 2/7/2015)

On our way to Sindhupalchowk, we found that houses that one stood on the riverbank were floating in the water.

A man walks past the destruction. A lot of people were wearing masks due to the massive amount of dust caused by the landslides.

Dinner provided by the villagers of Sakhuwa. We had to eat our dal-bhaat (a staple in Nepal) under flashlights due to power cuts.

This child in Sakhuwa had cerebral palsy and was often unable to speak. She had no one to take care of her and was living in a goat shed all by herself. She is now living in an orphanage in Kathmandu.
